ok, so it's time

it has been a loooonnnggg time since we/I have posted. no excuse.

we went camping for mothers day weekend. It was Shar's idea. Love da woman.

friday night was rainy & windy. thought we were tipping over a few times. saturday was cold, high of 56. sunday morning was 36. the camper has a great furnace. we did not put up the awning or our outside stuff, so it looks a little sparse.

we are growing a garden. corn, potatoes, beets, blue lake beans, red peppers, tomatoes, red, yellow, white onions, pumpkin, lettuce.

Matt called me. told me "Blogs" were for posting on a regular basis.

so i have!

4th of July local flavor

We went to the Franklin Ohio city 4th of July parade.
Only in America !
the above picture is one hour before the parade.
Thought we had missed it ! our favorite pizza place is right there on the left corner, Pisanello's. we sat just the other side of the viewing booth. picture on the left is at the beginning.

a float depiction of Christ & the Crucifixtion. this float won the best of show. again, only in small town america !

Kasey's new bike. $20.00 at garage sale.

"WE GOT MARRIED"

June 13th 2009 2pm Doug & Shar with Kasey as the "Cracker Jack" ring bearer, were finally able to get Married. Shar's sister Marge was the maid of honor. Her uncle David Yoder, gave her away. Doug's brother Alan was the best man (& offical shutter bug) Shar's long time friend & her husband (Chris & Ron), surprised every one and showed up from Utah. When Chris came in, the look on Shar's face was of total non-recognition. sort of like this does not register. It was a very neat moment. Our dog Abbie was there of course dressed in a nice bow. Lots of friends and neighbors (working on roofs and boats) were there. The service was performed by a wonderful lady , Marti Pepitone.

Afterwards there was alot of food and talk into the evening.
